I really enjoyed making this series. I will probably use it in my grief journal which I will be making as an example, but also to process my own grief. I’ve been exploring ways to make journals as well as collage fodder via videos. We’re going to be making grief journals in the next Psalms 102 workshop. (I’m a bit behind in posting the workshops, and I hope to do that this weekend.) These are made with a combination of geli plate printing, distress ink sprays, wax resist crayon marks and scribbles, water soluble crayons, acrylic paints, alcohol dribbles, oil pastels, and stencils. Three of them were made on top of existing artwork, and two were the scrap under-papers that were added onto. Most of them were made on printing paper, but the ones made on existing artwork were made on watercolor paper. One was made on mixed media paper.

God-lover, artist, writer, art therapist, dreamer, minister. I see life as an adventure of overcoming and bringing light to dark places. I have overcome extensive trauma and sexual abuse and now I share my testimony and teach/preach what God has to say about the recovery process through both logos and rhema words. I love nature, dancing, worship, and all creative expressions. I have a heart to see families restored, curses reversed, and generational blessings released. View more posts
