Golden Healing, Art Process, Part 6

Golden Healing, in process, part 6

It’s coming along. I fixed the contrast problem of the rain by adding some contrast with some blue glazes….I used various strengths or combinations of glaze and blue on it, from more glaze and less blue to more blue and less glaze. I tried to blend in the dark portions with lighter glazes. That’s the only thing I did last night aside from adding some self leveling gel at the end. I made the mistake of forgetting to spray my girl with a fixadent and sure enough she smeared…those stablio pencils…but I could see where it was smearing and I took a smaller brush while it was still wet and pushed back some of the smears. I didn’t get it all completely, so she will need to be fixed… but considering how big of a catastrophe it could have been, I think I saved much of it. Remind me never to forget to spray a fixadent before the self leveling gel. Ha. Back and forth, I go.

I think she’s almost done, though. The girl needs editing, and I’d like to add some light from heaven coming down on her and a key being dropped in the rain since I spotted a key in it awhile ago…I forget where, but it was sort of in the middle. That will be fun!

The best part about this is that I got in a “flow.” I haven’t been in an art flow for awhile!!! There was more ease. I was able to just press in and enjoy God. I was singing to him songs about healing. I didn’t feel like I was striving. I was able to just have fun. The irritability and stress was gone.

God is shifting things for me. He is removing the burnout and the torment. The sense of dread and fear I sometimes feel about the problems that still remain, God is removing. I am gaining a much deeper peace than I have ever felt before.

What’s weird is that 2 close friends were going through quite a health crisis and a time of testing as I painted, so I was singing songs of healing and deliverance over them. I love how painting can also be a prayer!!

God-lover, artist, writer, art therapist, dreamer, minister. I see life as an adventure of overcoming and bringing light to dark places. I have overcome extensive trauma and sexual abuse and now I share my testimony and teach/preach what God has to say about the recovery process through both logos and rhema words. I love nature, dancing, worship, and all creative expressions. I have a heart to see families restored, curses reversed, and generational blessings released.
