Chains Are Broken

Chains are Broken, mixed media, 18×24 inch canvas, painted on September 28, 2019

Here you can read about when I first created this Chains are Broken painting on September 28, 2019, during a prophetic worship night at River Room Church. It was painted live. This was a painting that had been started beforehand but mostly finished that night with the exception of the flowers on the sides. This photo is a result of several scans taken from different parts of the painting, then spliced together. It results in a higher resolution and more clarity than my camera can get, which translates to being able to be reproduced into larger prints.

I tried to include this painting (by means of a high quality photo) in my last Psalms 102 Workshop for PTSD Diagnosis and Recovery from a Personal and Spiritual Perspective, Part 5, on 12/3/22  but there were computer glitches which prevented it from being included. At that point, I saw old scans of it that needed to be stitched together, and I became consumed with putting it together, which took about a week straight of a little here a little there  or maybe 6-8 hours worth. My photo had cut off the side left purple flower, and I was just unsettled and driven until I fixed this.

Now, I do feel like God wanted this painting resurfaced and in the forefront. I do feel like we are now in a new season and era where God wants to set the captives free.

This is what the LORD says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’ “They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill. (Isaiah 49:8-9 NIV)

God is positioning us for the outpouring so that we can receive His glory. At the same time, the enemy seems to be trying harder and harder to derail people from fulfilling their destinies and destroying families by causing sickness, disease, bondage, etc. My church family has been under major attack with sicknesses, loss, and calamities happening all at once. I myself have been in a long crisis of burnout due to hope deferred and delayed answers or solutions that would alleviate my sufferings. Each day, I receive just enough wind and manna from God to make it through the day.

Spiritually, the enemy has been hounding us with relentless attacks. God has allowed some of it to test us prior to the outpouring of His glory and promises fulfilled. Do we still trust God? Do we still believe that He is good? Will we keep our faith? Will we keep our hearts close to His? Will we choose to continue to put God first when it doesn’t feel like it pays off or when it comes at a price? Will we accept God’s will above our own, even when we don’t understand? Even when it’s not what we want? God is looking for those who are pure of heart, who will remain faithful until the end, regardless of the cost.

God can’t expand us without testing us first, and we can’t hold His glory unless we are expanded. We can’t be trusted with the larger portion unless we have proved faithful with the smaller portion; not just holding it and stewarding it well, but what kind of heart posture did we keep? How did we manage those things during the tests and trials? Did we remain faithful, or did we fumble?

Luke 14: 25-33 NKJV

The Cost of Being a Disciple

25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’

31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.

God clearly tells us that there is a cost to being His disciple and following after Him.  He also tells us that we will suffer afflictions, but ALSO, God says He WILL DELIVER us “out of them all!”

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all. (Psalms 34: 19 NKJV)

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2nd Corinthians 4:17 NKJV)

God says the affliction is only for “a moment” and that it is working for us…working to produce God’s glory in us!

I always like to say that the testing is for a set time period. There are times and seasons to our lives, and each season comes to an end with a new season beginning.

I declare that chains are breaking! Our trials are coming to an end! It is now time for a TRUTH explosion! God showed me that Truth is coming like a great light to shatter the darkness, to shatter the lies that have kept us in bondage, to restore hope, dreams lost, and usher in a new day of promises fulfilled.

I hear in my spirit some of you saying, but it’s too late.  Some things are lost forever. Some things can’t be returned. Some things can’t be restored.

Keep in mind the story of Lazarus. Everyone thought it was too late for God to heal Lazarus because he had already been dead 4 days, but Jesus allowed sufficient time to pass so He could prove how powerful He was; that nothing is impossible with God. Also, keep in mind the story of the dry bones found in Ezkiel 37:1-10. These bones were already dead. God said to Ezekiel, “Prophesy to these  bones and say I will make breath enter you.” So Ezekiel did as he was commanded, and the dry bones started rattling and came to life.” That’s what God wants to do yo your dead dreams, to the parts of you that have died and closed off due to hope deferred.  I prophesy that the dead parts of you that God intended to live will come to life in the name of Jesus; that God’s breath of life would enter you and revive you. That the dead dreams God placed in your heart would awaken and arise. The depression, fear, anxiety, despair, hopelessness, weariness, afflictions, addictions, and sickness would be broken off of you and that Zoe life, energy, vitality,  joy, peace, zestfulness, exuberance, youthfulness, and good health would be restored to you in the name of Jesus. I declare that poverty and lack would be broken off your life; that your tent pegs would enlarge and that God would release you to enjoy the abundance of his riches in heaven. I declare that you will not lose your way, but find your way; that mental confusion and fogginess would lift and clarity and revelation would be released to you. I declare that you will serve the Lord all the days of your life and be filled with joy overflowing, love, peace, gentleness, self- control, and long suffering-all the fruits of the Spirit. I declare that you will be successful in the assignments that God has placed on your life. In Jesus’ name, I pray these things. Amen.

Keep in mind that God has the last word!!!

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away (Matthew 24:35, NKJV)

John 8:31-32 ESV
The Truth Will Set You Free

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Revelations 1: 18 NIV

18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Colossians 2: 13-15, NKJV

13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Charge of our legal indebtedness = death, affliction, sickness, mental illness, addiction, etc.

He disarmed the powers and authorities of darkness, TRIUMPHING over them by the cross. Jesus blood cancels the legal charge of death, sickness, poverty, addiction, affliction, mental illness, etc.

Psalms 107: 13-16, NIV

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.
15 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, 16 for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
