Mission Ready

It’s a time of change. There is a changing of the guard. The winds are blowing. The winds are bringing change. God is bringing a whole new landscape. This may or may not involve where you live.

God says, “Prepare for change. Prepare for change! Prepare your heart. Let me prepare your mind. Allow me to expand you. Expand what you thought possible. Expand your perceptions. Expand your ability to trust in me. For I’m always behind the scenes, watching; seeing what you do, how you will respond, if you will remain faithful. I am fine tuning you, working out these weak spots in you; tweaking you so that you will become more ready; more mission ready. More ‘Mission Ready!’ So this waiting is necessary, has been necessary to prepare you, to tweak you, to get you to the place where I can use you; where you are mission ready because you have not always been mission ready. Your focus has often been on a lot of other things. You’ve been distracted very easily. I want to make you mission ready because we are entering into perilous times, but also times of great harvest. I will need you to bring in the harvest and do exactly as I have commissioned you. Wake up. Pay attention. Stand guard. The devil prowls around like a lion looking for whom he may devour. Put on the full armor of God, and take your places as I have commanded you. Use your time wisely. Be good stewards. Make sure you carry enough oil. Keep the spiritual weapons I have endowed you with close at hand, ready to be utilized. Get ready. It is show time!!

Do not be afraid for I am with you. I am strong and mighty, a strong tower and a safe haven for you, my people. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I will keep you on a steady path and give you clear directions and discernment. Be strong and courageous in this hour and see the victory that is coming! Know that I am for you and no weapon formed against you will prosper. I am a keeper of my word. You can trust me. Know that I am faithful to keep my promises. Your time of justice and recompense is here! Your time of deliverance is here! I have heard your cries and I am coming to make good on my promises.

Supporting scriptures:

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1st Peter 5:8 NIV)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.11 Put on the full armor of God,so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6: 10-18 NIV)

25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. 11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ 12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ 13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour (Matthew 25: 1-13 NIV)

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. (2nd Corinthians 10: 4-6 NIV)

The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10 NIV)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 NIV)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV)

no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:7 NIV)

The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.

3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. 4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. 6Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD. 7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. 8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek. 9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior. 10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. 11 Teach me your way, O LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence. 13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. (Psalms 27: 1-14 NIV)

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act?Does he promise and not fulfill? (Numbers 23:19 NIV)

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. ( 2nd Corinthias 1:20 NIV)
