Weird Is As Weird Does

Weird Is As Weird Does, 12×12 inches, 10.12.22, mixedmedia on yupo paper (alcohol inks, alcohol markers, posca pen, and oil pastels. )

I was in a weird mood. I kind of let loose. This kept changing. I think I needed to vent. I just let the alcohol fall where it wanted for part of the time. I splattered. I dripped. I worked and worked, and worked. I overworked. I destroyed and put back together. It changed a million times. Somehow it was satisfying. It’s a bit intriguing in its weirdness, intricacy, and randomness.

What does it say? That is for another day.

I sprayed it with a varnish which yellowed the white and changed the whole color scheme a tad. I wanted to make the shininess uniform. This is a corrected version of a scan at 50% image size, possibly less after sending it through email and downloading it on my phone. The original scan is 600 dpi.

This what it looks like currently without the color edit, after the varnish yellowed it. I will need to remember that in the future.

It’s not bad…just has a warmer overall feel. The colors are actually amazing up close, but from a distance I like the cooler version.

This is what it looked like on my phone and before spraying it with varnish, a less quality image for printing purposes.

I still like this colors best. I’m going to have to try to tweak it a bit more.
