Cherry Blossom Fantasies

Cherry Blossom Fantasies, alcohol inks and oil pastels

I’m still trying to recover from Covid. I hope to be able to return to work tomorrow. My alcohol ink paper came in the mail today so I thought I would play with my alcohol inks. I’m not sure I’m satisfied with this, yet, but I didn’t want to overwork it.

The inspiration for this piece was actually some fancy trash bags my daughter purchased with a cherry blossom scent.

But I love cherry blossoms and am growing one in the back yard. I also love sakura tea which my daughter got me for my birthday in July.

I’m still feeling tired with some stomach issues, but overall it feels like I’m on the mend. I guess I wanted to focus on something that brought me joy and hope.
