I didn’t plan this one out. These emotional landscape drawings are done spontaneously for stress relief. God sometimes talks to me afterwards. In this one today I heard the word, “seeds.” He’s been talking to me lately about how were coming into a harvest season of all the seeds, good and bad. See the wheat and the tares scripture:
The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
Here are a few more scriptures pertaining to seeds.
Luke 8:15 ESV
As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
Genesis 26:12 ESV
And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The Lord blessed him.”
Galatians 6:8 ESV
For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Deuteronomy 28:1-14 ESV
“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. …”
2 Corinthians 9:10 NIV
“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
John 12:24 NIV
“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”
Its harvest time!
Some of us have been holding seeds for a long time. Some of our soil has been hardened. God had to do alot of tilling and softening up of our soil so things could grow. A lot of the work was done in the soil first and alot of the growth you couldn’t see was underground. Some of us had to go through a season of loss or death, but it wasn’t in vain. For when God takes sonething He gives back even more than He took, and sometimes its the only way His will can happen. Sometimes he needs to test us first. There’s so many reasons why He does things. He works things in us and in our life we dont understand. Perhaps you’ve grown inpatient in the waiting.
I hear God saying, “Don’t give up! It’s harvest time! Those things I’ve planted in you shall come forth! I’ve planted so many good gifts in you. I am the Father of heavenly gifts; good and perfect gifts, tailor made just for you. Do not give up. Do not grow weary in doing good. You have not always seen the work that I’ve been doing, but I’ve been doing it behind the scenes, preparing you for such a time as this, for the great plans I have for you. Do you trust me? Will you trust me with your life? Do you trust me with your cares? Each and everyone one? Will you let me comb and sift through your life and take out the impurities? Will you let me be the master gardener? I’ve allowed the wheat and tares to grow together, but now it’s time to produce, and for me to cut down every thing in you that does not produce life. My love is greater than any need, and my love takes care of ALL needs. Do you trust me? Let me do this work in you and take you to completion. Let me have my way in you. I want to bless you more than you can imagine. I love you all so much…so so much…The time is NOW so get ready! Great things are about to happen. I have planted many more seeds than you even realize. Oh, what a marvelous day!”
Galatians 6:9 NIV
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
James 1: 17 NIV
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
Update from March 2, 2021: I am trying to organize my art here from my FB art page. Therefore the art will take you back to the original post. I tried to start from the beginning there.
What’s interesting about this image is that it seems to correlate to a word I heard today from Donna Rigney from Elijah Streams about how we are coming into a Harvest Season not only with lost souls but we are going to be seeing a harvest of the seeds that were planted, both good and evil. Its only coincidence (or by the Spirit of God) that I started with this one today.
Also, God continues to talk about seeds March 19, 2021 where I also include this art piece.
I was trying to think of the best way to do this. I’m thinking I’ll make the posts then later try to add the images to a gallery with different categories with the images that link back to the posts. This would be under the category of prophetic art. I’m going to have to figure out how to do that first. If I can ever figure it out, and if its possible, I’d like to change the dates of these entries so they match the dates of the original entries.
BTW: Concerning timing, God sometimes gives me words years before its relevant. Hmmmm….
