The Almond Blossom Menorah Lampstand

The Almond Blossom Menorah Lampstand, mixed media on wood, 01.15.2012

Medium: Mixed Media On Wood: Acrylic, Tissue Paper, Watercolor, Fabric Paint, Glazes

This was a commissioned piece on a piece of oak wood. The person that hired me wanted it to look like my other almond blossom menorah painting but have seven branches instead of 9, to match the lampstand in Exodus 25. She also wanted it to be in Acrylic. She was doing a Beth Moore Study on the Lampstand. I enjoyed making it. This painting lived through a kitchen fire without any damage. God spoke to me about his constant, timeless presence, his unending truth, and his unending, love, that nothing could take away, not even the fiery trials of life or all the demons of hell.

God-lover, artist, writer, art therapist, dreamer, minister. I see life as an adventure of overcoming and bringing light to dark places. I have overcome extensive trauma and sexual abuse and now I share my testimony and teach/preach what God has to say about the recovery process through both logos and rhema words. I love nature, dancing, worship, and all creative expressions. I have a heart to see families restored, curses reversed, and generational blessings released.
